Ibanez has been pumping out some really great guitars as of late and the GRX70QA is no exception. It may not be as flashy as some of their other models, but if you can appreciate a well-made guitar for what it is then I’m sure you will like the GRX.
This isn’t just your average run-of-the-mill beginner pack, there are better pickups with higher quality hardware and wood on this model than most guitars in its class. These things make a big difference when it comes to sound quality and playability which leads me to my next point…
Price: The price of this product is astonishingly low, especially taking into consideration all that has been put into this instrument already.
Sound: The sound is great. Each string has a nice, clean and crisp tone when played unplugged. When you plug it in is even better, the active pickups really give this guitar some punch and help separate the different notes so they don’t run together. It handles distortion just fine but is probably best for classic rock or blues rather than something like nu-metal or death metal (even though that’s what these guitars are designed for). Performance: Performance wise I can’t find anything wrong with this baby, everything works as it should and there were no dead spots on the neck or rough frets anywhere to be found. Also, whether aggressive picking or slow strumming this sucker stays in tune! Every time I go back to check the tuning it’s still there, no matter how many times I play it.
Looks: This guitar is offered in 3 different colors but you can tell it’s an Ibanez even without looking for the signature “Tree of Life” on the headstock. The silver flake finish looks great and definitely has a unique look to it. Also, because this model isn’t too flashy other people may be less intimidated by it and not as likely to steal it!
Conclusion: Overall this guitar is great and comes at a fantastic price so if your looking for something with a classic sound that you will need little maintenance on than this could be just what you’re looking for. With excellent craftsmanship and quality materials, I would suggest checking out an Ibanez GRX70QA.
If you are looking for a guitar that sounds great, is easy to play, and won’t break the bank, the Ibanez GRX70QA should be at the top of your list! This model is offered in three different colors (red, black, or silver), each with its own unique finish. The hardware and wood on this guitar are of much higher quality than on most beginner packs, and the pickups are active which gives it a nice punch when plugged in. The neck is also designed so there are no dead spots and the frets are smooth with no rough edges. This guitar stays in tune even after aggressive playing, making it perfect for live performances.
